The EU Islands Facility – NESOI is an EU funded Horizon 2020 project that aims to unlock the potential of EU islands to become the locomotives of European Energy Transition by mobilising more than 100 M€ of investment in sustainable energy projects.

HAEE is delighted to have supported Athens Exchange Group, to an actual understanding of the overall Natural Gas Market, in a repeated two- day seminar, from November 19th to November 20th 2018, in Athens Exchange.
Developed by three experts on the field, this course outlines topics related to gas infrastructure, storage and regulatory issues. It concentrated on the economics of Gas, and discussed topics such as trading strategies and price management with derivatives.
Besides, the course explained the current developments in the European wholesale Gas Markets and the opportunities presented in Greek Market.

Ο Δρ. Θεόδωρος Τσακίρης εξέδωσε το βιβλίο του με τίτλο "Ενεργειακή Ασφάλεια και Διεθνής Πολιτική".
"Η μελέτη της ενεργειακής ασφάλειας εισήλθε δυναμικά ως θεματική του κλάδου των Διεθνών Σχέσεων κατά τη διάρκεια της δεκαετίας του 1970 ως αποτέλεσμα της μεγάλης πετρελαϊκής κρίσης του 1973 και του κύματος των εθνικοποιήσεων που ακολούθησε. Στη διεθνή ωστόσο βιβλιογραφία η σημασία της ασφάλειας εφοδιασμού με ζωτικές πρώτες ύλες και ειδικότερα με πετρέλαιο είναι κατά πολύ παλαιότερη.
Ανάγεται στις αρχές του περασμένου αιώνα και ειδικότερα στην περίοδο που ακολουθεί τον Α' Παγκόσμιο Πόλεμο και αυτό είναι λογικό, με δεδομένο το ρόλο που διαδραμάτισε για την έκβαση της παγκόσμιας σύρραξης ο πετρελαϊκός παράγοντας.
Πολλοί έχουν μάλιστα παρεξηγήσει το ρόλο αυτό ως αίτιο για το ξέσπασμα αυτού του παγκοσμίου πολέμου και πολύ περισσότερο του Β' Παγκοσμίου Πολέμου, αν και κάτι τέτοιο, όπως επιχειρηματολογεί πειστικά ο συγγραφέας του έργου, είναι δύσκολο να τεκμηριωθεί.
Η εξέταση του ρόλου του πετρελαίου ως δυνητικής αιτίας διακρατικών συγκρούσεων, ιδίως μεταξύ των Μεγάλων Δυνάμεων, αλλά ο τρόπος με τον οποίο ο μεταξύ τους ανταγωνισμός διαμόρφωσε την παγκόσμια βιομηχανία και το σύστημα εμπορίας υδρογονανθράκων, αποτελεί το βασικότερο αναλυτικό κορμό του επίτομου αυτού έργου, το οποίο είναι μοναδικό στο είδος του στην ελληνική βιβλιογραφία..."

Οι βασικοί πρωταγωνιστές του χώρου της ενέργειας κατά τα τελευταία τουλάχιστον 30 χρόνια στην Ελλάδα έδωσαν μαζικά το παρόν στην επιτυχημένη Ημερίδα που διοργανώθηκε από τη Δεξαμενή Σκέψης για την Ενεργειακή Οικονομία (ΗΑΕΕ), με θέμα το "Ρόλο της Ελλάδας και της Κύπρου στη ΝΑ Μεσόγειο: Γεωπολιτικές και Ενεργειακές Προκλήσεις" και η οποία γεφύρωσε με άριστο τρόπο το κενό που είχε δημιουργηθεί λόγω της παρατηρούμενης "απόστασης" μεταξύ Αθήνας και Κύπρου στον τομέα της έρευνας και εκμετάλλευσης των υδρογονανθράκων στην Ανατολική Μεσόγειο.

Το Energy Efficiency Conference ανέδεξε τις πιο αποτελεσματικές μεθόδους που εφαρμόστηκαν από κορυφαίες εταιρίες για να βελτιώσουν την ενεργειακή τους απόδοση, σε πολλαπλούς τομείς και διαδικασίες (παραγωγή, κτήρια, εσωτερικές λειτουργίες, υπηρεσίες). Μέσω στοχευμένων εταιρικών case studies επικοινωνήθηκαν βέλτιστες πρακτικές και συνακόλουθα οφέλη, ενώ experts του χώρου πρόσφεραν στοχευμένη ενημέρωση για νέες τεχνολογίες και υπηρεσίες για τη βελτίωση της ενεργειακής απόδοσης, το ρόλο του IoT, παράλληλα με διαθέσιμους τρόπους χρηματοδότησης των έργων αυτών.
